In November 2021 I traveled to the Dolomites in Italy. The Dolomites are a popular region for hiking in the summer and winter sports in the winter. The region is then overrun with tourists, but what is it like to travel there during low season? When the first snow has fallen in the mountains? I went out with my camera and photographed the beauty of this impressive landscape without a tourist in sight. To show that traveling during low season is just as nice or maybe even more beautiful than during high season and we can prevent overtourism so that we can better protect these kinds of areas.
We should not stop traveling, but travel differently and more consciously.
